Parent and Carer Participation

Relationships with parents and carers is an important aspect of our work at Imagine…. We cannot support the education and care of children without your involvement. The knowledge and understanding parents/carers have of their child is really important in helping us to make sure we provide adequately and appropriately so your input is crucial. We would like you to keep us informed of the things that you do at home and we will at all times exchange information with you about what goes on in nursery.

• As a minimum, we would like parents/carers to share regular information with staff.
• Staff are expected to give daily feedback to parents and carers.
• Parents will be offered a more formal meeting every term to discuss their child’s progress and to look at the work going on in nursery.
• If parents have any concerns, questions or queries, please feel free to arrange a meeting with staff.

Key Person
All children will be allocated a key person. This is your child’s special person and will have in depth knowledge of your child and his/her developing needs, interests and other significant information.

However, all children will be known by all staff so in the event of staff absence, children will still have other people to go to with whom they have built up a good relationship.
